The Night Watchman
This side of the five thousand years a lamp still burns,
After forty a pen is still erect.
Of all weapons this is the last.
Even if surrounded three times
At the center of blind darkness,
This I will never surrender.
In the forsaken cemetery of Time
Not a stone door ever answers my pounding,
But, hollow with horror, the haunting echoes
Down Time’s hallway peal from end to end.
How much chaos will give way to a single lamp?
Does my pen at middle age suggest
A daring sword or a pitying crutch?
Am I the driver of the pen or the driven?
Am I the giver of the blood or the given?
Not a question can I answer. I only know
Icy is the air on the hair of my nape.
The last watchman by the last lamp
To prop a giant shadow awry,
Too preoccupied to dream
Or a sound sleep to claim。

Hai Zi
In regard to a demigod and a genius who died young,
I couldn’t have more nostalgia.
Being dead is being dead, just like everything that is not begotten.
No one has ever talked about the beginning and the end.
My heart is like dead ashes, without a single surge of emotion.
Similar to death, poetry is also a kind of death.
It is suitable for the blind and mute,
Because it is suitable for murderers and martyrs,
for the madman who dances in the face of slaughter,
Who sings in the face of a coffin
And I’m also a madman, driven by time,
Writing down the words of the black snow. Unlike you
I’m misunderstanding you, in the same way as so many poets.
Everything stems from a fallacy,
And fallacy is achievement, a far-reaching illusion.

To the Stars of the Dusk
The stars of the dusk rise from the earth and the sea.
I stand at the end of the night,
Seeing the dusk like a snow-white nude.
I am the only shining star in the sky.
At this difficult moment,
It is as if I had witnessed the yesterday of a different kind of human beings.
Three things that kill each other are brought together.
The dusk is the only luminous body in the sky.
The stars are the depressed bed sheet of the daughter of the night.
I am the boundless darkness of my life.
At this last moment, I can even dream
This barren earth, the last seed,
The drooping time, the last sound.
This world, the last thing, the stars of the dusk.

Smart Phone
In the waiting room
sits a large number of travelers.
With one notable exception,
all of them are busy
with a little thing called smart phone
that fascinates them all the time.
With two thumbs at the same time
they write their stories,
meaningful or not they are written,
and sent out into the world.
Only one person does not write, but reads,
he reads a book!
Doesn’t he have anything to say?

A Statue and a Forgotten Heaven
A beautifully carved warrior statue.
It is the shadow of the nation’s fighters.
Unfortunately, we are not the same strength as in the past.
Moving earth and heaven, what we have is now gone.
One trait that remains the same is feeling heroic.
But made weak by time and destiny.
But strong in the will to kill his own people.
There are no more shouts of struggle, only the power of sheer lust.
I miss the turbulent moments of struggle.
All that remains is a statue from the ruins of your struggle.
All that remains are your tears and blood.
All that remains is a name that does not rise.
All that remains is a memory that has begun to disappear.
Now I call your name after waking up from my dream.
Dreams full of blood and stiff bodies.
Dreams are full of scattered bones.
The dream of a poor and suffering nation.
I want to take your soul back.
From your fighting spirit.
From the turmoil of your nation.
The sweat, blood, and life you sacrificed.
And the bond of a nation that you unite.
For the sense of freedom we dream of.
Teaching my fighting spirit will ignite itself!

Bloody Painting
soul, become strong
like ocean waves, painting on canvas
put down roots, find resources, bloom, fruit wasted
put life, soul, I need blood and tears
soulful, beautiful song
as a drunken man in the Monalisa painting in Paris
what are the accusations only basic colors, yellow, black, red
what matters is the burning soul fire
there is a time of hope
and time to despair
what matters is the soul
if you have no soul
you don’t know love
or do you know death
soul, my shadow is in the sun
in the eyes of the world
in the change of the soul into the movement of the body
in the struggle of souls in all synthesis
in the blood flows rapidly or freezes
soul, be
there is a time of hope
and time to despair
what matters is a burning soul
soul, blood and tears become like a dark night.

Tonight I Can Write
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
Write, for example,’The night is shattered
and the blue stars shiver in the distance.’
The night wind revolves in the sky and sings.
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.
Through nights like this one I held her in my arms
I kissed her again and again under the endless sky.
She loved me sometimes, and I loved her too.
How could one not have loved her great still eyes.
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
To think that I do not have her. To feel that I have lost her.
To hear the immense night, still more immense without her.
And the verse falls to the soul like dew to the pasture.
What does it matter that my love could not keep her.
The night is starry and she is not with me.
This is all. In the distance someone is singing. In the distance.
My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.
My sight tries to find her as though to bring her closer.
My heart looks for her, and she is not with me.
The same night whitening the same trees.
We, of that time, are no longer the same.
I no longer love her, that’s certain, but how I loved her.
My voice tried to find the wind to touch her hearing.
Another’s. She will be another’s. As she was before my kisses.
Her voice. Her bright body. Her inifinite eyes.
I no longer love her, that’s certain, but maybe I love her.
Love is so short, forgetting is so long.
Because through nights like this one I held her in my arms
my sould is not satisfied that it has lost her.
Though this be the last pain that she makes me suffer
and these the last verses that I write for her.

Girl Lithe and Tawny
Girl lithe and tawny, the sun that forms
the fruits, that plumps the grains, that curls seaweeds
filled your body with joy, and your luminous eyes
and your mouth that has the smile of the water.
A black yearning sun is braided into the strands
of your black mane, when you stretch your arms.
You play with the sun as with a little brook
and it leaves two dark pools in your eyes.
Girl lithe and tawny, nothing draws me towards you.
Everything bears me farther away, as though you were noon.
You are the frenzied youth of the bee,
the drunkenness of the wave, the power of the wheat-ear.
My somber heart searches for you, nevertheless,
and I love your joyful body, your slender and flowing voice.
Dark butterfly, sweet and definitive
like the wheat-field and the sun, the poppy and the water.

1.
From then I began designing the winters of the future,
on sorrowful canvases, in the gallery of the soul,
with faces full of incurable dreams, and peaceful
fables, of the golden Homeland, which are never-ending.
2.
Within the dark of anguish
I inhabited your footsteps
these you told me
are the yeast of resurrection
3.
The room is quite small, three by three,
but with vast ascetic dimensions,
full of fires and passions, which whatever we
say, outlast distant measures of time,
and their word, is heard deep, in the hearing
of lovers, the decency of spiritual
light.
4.
Glory be to you…
the happy orbit
is dismissing slowly slowly
the optics of sounds
My timeline moves towards
fracturing mid sky
and becoming visible
is Orpheus in full body
from his own clouds
holding marches of meekness
with candles all around lighted
by the trisyllabic voice.
Greetings crying out
from the first life.

Debt
What do I owe to you
Who loved me deep and long?
You never gave my spirit wings
Nor gave my heart a song
But oh, to him I loved
Who love me not at all
I owe the little open gate
That led through heaven’s wall
After Love
There is no magic anymore,
We meet as other people do,
You work no miracle for me
Nor I for you.
You were the wind and I the sea—
There is no splendor anymore,
I have grown listless as the pool
Beside the shore.
But though the pool is safe from storm
And from the tide has found surcease,
It grows more bitter than the sea,
For all its peace.

Inspects wars and disasters. Also as a witness,
Peace sends the war criminals into prisons.
(4)
Peace is the sweet fruit, the fragrant rice.
Peace is the refuge from violence, the shore after repenting.
It is narrow-mindedness moving toward tolerance, it is dissipation.
(5)
Peace is also the love of the soul without pollution.
Peace is also the long rainbow with colorful sounds.
Peace rejects barbarism, distains barbarism, punishes barbarism.
(6)
Oh, the concert set the image of peace
To fly, to be in an exhibition.
Oh, the concert spreads the melody of peace
Throughout the universe to reach the aliens.

One
“i didn’t come here
to be civil.
i didn’t come here
to sit you down
with a mug of tea
& a blueberry muffin
to coddle you as
i try to convince you
that respecting
my existence is essential,
you’ve had plenty
of chances
& you took a
hard pass every time,
so i came here
to watch your anger overtake
until you finally
combust.”
(2)
Two
“your hips will try to burst through your skin.
your thighs will try to grow together like a mermaid’s tail.
a soft garden will try to sprout on your legs.
(& between your legs, on your upper lip, on your armpits, etc.)
no, you are not just here to be sexy for him.
the world begins & ends when you say so.
—— what they don’t want you to know”
(3)
Three
We
finally refused
to be seen
as only
bodies crafted for
the men’s
use& consumption,
so we set the
clouds ablaze to sway them
to show them how
wonderfully we could
co-exist
but
they chose to take it
as a threat
& they
have never fully
forgiven us
for claiming
the portion of the sky
that was always rightfully
Ours.
—when the glass sky is the limit.

My Tombstone
Don’t erect a marble stone upon my grave,
Nor a grand monument.
Just place a pair of shoes there
For someone barefoot to wear.
